ABOUT US

Quarterhouse, Folkestone’s performing arts and business centre, opened in March 2009 and has already attracted a wide range of music, theatre, comedy and family performances including Michael McIntyre, Sean Lock, and the team at BBC Kent Introducing. It is also the home venue for Folkestone Book Festival, Stand Up! Comedy Festival and The Hook Music Festival.



Our flexible auditorium space which can accommodate up to 250 seated or 450 standing as well as cabaret style seating for up to 100. Quarterhouse also offer a range of business suites and meeting rooms and can cater for conferences and seminars for up to 250 delegates. The building also houses the stunning Quarterhouse Bar & Restaurant, serving delicious meals, snacks and a range of quality beers, wines and cocktails. Quarterhouse has quickly become an important social hub and a flagship building within the Creative Quarter.

PAYMENT
Cheques to be made payable to "Creative Foundation Trading Ltd" and can only be used in person at the Box Office. Credit and debit cards carry a £1.00 fee per transaction.

TICKET COLLECTION
Tickets that are paid for in advance can be collected on the day, 30 minutes prior to the event. Tickets can also be posted to you for an additional charge of 50p. Please check your tickets on receipt.
We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or money refunded, except in the case of a cancelled event.

ACCESS
We are a fully accessible venue - please inform the Box Office of your requirements.

CONCESSIONS
Quarterhouse events - Concessionary rates apply to under 16’s, full time students, senior citizens, registered unemployed and registered disabled. Proof of status will be required. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

DIRECTIONS

BY CAR
From London Head for the M20, turn off at junction 13 and follow signs to the Harbour until you reach Tontine Street. (SAT NAV USERS – CT20 1JT)

PARKING
The nearest car parks are behind Quarterhouse, Tram Road (2mins), Payers Park (2mins) and the Harbour car park (5mins). Quarterhouse car park is 60p per hour. All council car parks charge daily fees of 90p per hour between 8am-8pm and the Harbour charges £3.00 per day. Please call the Quarterhouse box office for more information.

BY TRAIN
Folkestone is now under an hour away from London St Pancras. Folkestone Central Station is a short walk from the centre of town and approximately 15 minutes from Quarterhouse. National Railway Enquiries – 08457 48 49 50 or

BY BUS OR COACH
A direct National Express coach service runs from London Victoria Coach Station to the main bus station in Bouverie Square, Folkestone. Stagecoach also operates a network of routes linking towns and villages.


Creative Foundation reserves the right to change the programme and introduce special offers and discounts without prior notice. These will not apply to tickets already purchased before the announcement. Updates will be available on the Quarterhouse website and at the box office. Latecomers will not be allowed into their seats until a suitable break in the performance. Audio recorders, cameras and mobile phones may not be used in the venue. The management reserves the right to refuse admission, all tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable and will become voidable if re-sold. Performances may contain strong language and adult themes, we reserve the right to decline refund requests on the basis of event content being deemed inappropriate.
