BBC Kent Introducing is a showcase of the best unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar music from Kent, every Sunday night on BBC Radio Kent. Celebrating two years at the forefront of the local music scene, we’re returning to Quarterhouse to bring you – live on stage – the best talent that the county has to offer.
Just like our radio shows, our 2nd birthday party will present a spectrum of musical styles… headlining are Tunbridge Wells indie band TOM WILLIAMS & THE BOAT, whose hotly-anticipated debut album arrives this year.
You’ll also see Thanet rock four-piece FLOORS & WALLS, Folkestone indie band ELEPHANTS, Gravesend's GAOLER'S DAUGHTER, Chatham quirk-punk trio POLKA PARTY, and Sittingbourne folk-blues-rockers KRISSY & THE JACKDAWS. Ending the night will be a DJ set from Tunbridge Wells producer JACOB PLANT.
With all that, and even more yet to be confirmed, BBC Kent Introducing’s 2nd birthday will be one not to be missed.
We're part of the BBC Introducing network, offering bands and artists unparalleled opportunities to be seen and heard across the UK, including on BBC Radio 1. If you're making music, upload your tunes to our website and show us what you've got to offer. www.bbc.co.uk/kent/introducing
