Folkestone Skabour Festival are proud to present ARTHUR KAY & THE ORIGINALS.

The evening will start withDj sets from Tiny T / Big Phil Enthucal and Rhoda Dakar of The Bodysnatchers with accompanying visuals from the film Dance Craze. The evening continues with performances by two giants of ska. ARTHUR KAY (famed as The Godfather of Ska) & THE ORIGINALS, celebrate their 30th year as a band. They are truly the boys on the ska block with the success of single "Ska Wars" and albums " Rare & Tasty"," Sparks of Inspiration" and "The Count of Clerkenwell". They were also the iconic Judge Dread's backing band featuring on many of his recordings.

Folkestone based band INTENSIFIED play authentic 60s style ska, rocksteady and reggae. The quality of their music and live presence has gained the band a huge following and legendary reputation as one of the world's finest in this genre.

Folkestone Skabour Festival 2010 is a FREE exciting ska music event at the harbour area of the Ark Market and The Stade. Evening ticketed events will take place at Quarterhouse on friday and saturday nights to kick start the festival, and at other popular Creative Quarter venues near to the harbour throughout the festival. Folkestone Skabour Festival will feature many excellent ska bands and DJs, a Ska Market and Scooter Club Ride Outs from the harbour.
