On Sale Thursday 22nd September There's never been greater interest in craft-brewed English ales, with several hundred new breweries opening in recent years. These are beers brewed from the finest natural ingredients -- home-grown malt and hops -- and offer drinkers not only great aroma and flavour but also a tremendous diversity of styles, from dark beers to golden ales. Leading beer writer Roger Protz will conduct a "tutored tasting" of beers, taking the audience through the styles on offer and how to appreciate the flavours of malt and hops. Roger Protz is a campaigner, broadcaster and author of more than 18 ground-breaking books about beer and brewing. Appearing regularly on radio and TV, he also contributes to the Independent, the Morning Advertiser, CAMRA's What's Brewing and is the Editor of the annual bestselling Good Beer Guide, now in its 37th year. In 2004 Roger won a Lifetime Achievement Award from the British Guild of Beer Writers.
