When the Japanese entered the war in 1941, some 20,000 British civilians in Asia were marched off to concentration camps where they remained for three long years. Over 3,000 of them were children.   Based on survivor interviews, this is not only a harrowing account of brutality, suffering and violence, but a testament to hope and bravery, celebrating the irrepressibility of the human spirit and the astounding resilience of these children.     Nicola Tyrer is a freelance journalist. Her previous books include Sisters In Arms, and the Sunday Times bestselling history of the Land Girls: They Fought In The Fields. The Brewery Tap is based at 53 Tontine Street
