Presented by A Town Unearthed Dr Lesley Hardy of Canterbury Christ Church University and Project Director of A Town Unearthed looks at the fascinating work of S.E. Winbolt, Classics teacher, author, and pioneering archeologist, in the context of the culture of post World War I Britain. Winbolt’s 1924 excavation of the Roman Villa on Folkestone’s East Cliff, made it internationally renowned and one of the first “heritage” sites in the country. The Brewery Tap is based at 53 Tontine Street
