In 2005 the Sacconis became Junior Fellows at the Royal College of Music. Now, continuing their role there as Quartet in Association, the quartet work and coach many of its up and coming chamber musicians. For tonight’s concert they have invited some of those students to form a chamber orchestra to perform these three wonderful works.

Grieg’s fresh and ebullient Holberg Suite opens the concert, followed by Mozart’s sublime A major piano concerto, directed from the keyboard by Tom Poster. Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence ends this concert, displaying the youth and dynamism of RCM’s greatest young chamber musicians.
