This summer we have a programme that will catalyse your family’s creativity!
We launch the season with The Neuronal Disco for kids! Join us for a scientific dance workshop devised by Dr Selina Wray and artist Charlie Murphy.
Fliskit Theatre visit with Bright Sparks! This new show about light and dark is a playful, visually rich and humorous adventure for ages 3-7 exploring the beauty of being different.
We celebrate this year’s Open Quarter with three events on Sunday 18 June! We welcome back Kid Carpet with his Super Mega Rockin’ Rock Show where ages 3+ will learn everything they need to know to able able to rock out big time, even if it’s their first gig!
We will also be holding our third Big Lunch, a national event that aims to bring together as many people as possible to have lunch with their neighbours! We will once again be holding this fab summer event in Payers Park with live music from Mexican Mariachi and Latin American band Mariachi Tequila! It’s free, just bring along a dish to share!
We are delighted to welcome Mrs H and the Sing-along Band for a morning of quality music for children, that adults will love too! With members of Red Snapper, Beth Orton and the leisure society Mrs H will perform songs from their new book Mrs H Sings on Saturday 24 June. Bring your voices, silly dances and don’t hold back from joining in with the fun!
Don’t miss your chance to sign up to our Neon Summer School! Throughout August ages 5-16 will have the chance to work with theatre makers, choreographers, radio producers and more, creating a new show each week. Each age group will work in the Quarterhouse theatre space alongside professionals for five full days, 10am – 4pm. This is a great opportunity to inspire your young artists and with spaces available at just £60 per week they are selling fast!
