The Sacconi Quartet present their 12th annual Chamber Music Festival!

Haydn’s ‘Bird’ Quartet opens tonight’s concert, performed by the award-winning Salome Quartet from the Royal College of Music. After a break of two years, the Sacconi Quartet will lead their very own RCM String Ensemble, who return to perform three greats of the string orchestra repertoire including John Woolrich’s haunting Ulysses Awakes for Viola and Strings. Expect to hear strings like you’ve never heard them before!

Sacconi Quartet:
Ben Hancox (violin), Hannah Dawson (violin), Robin Ashwell (viola), Cara Berridge (cello)

Salome Quartet:
Haim Choi (Violin), Inês Delgado (Violin), Kasia Zimińska (viola), Shizuku Tatsuno (cello)

Haydn - String Quartet in C major, Op. 33, No. 3 ‘The Bird’ (Performed by the Salome Quartet)
Mozart - Divertimento in D major, K. 136
Woolrich - ‘Ulysses Awakes’ for viola and strings (Viola solo performed by Robin Ashwell from the Sacconi Quartet)
Bartok - Divertimento for string orchestra
