After a successful show in 2017 and back by popular demand (you asked for more) The Handsome Family return!

Once proclaimed “the Beatles of the folk world” by revered US rock critic Greil Marcus, Rennie and Brett Sparks have been creating music for over twenty years and have released over ten albums. After their track, Far From Any Road, was used for the theme of hit TV show, True Detective, The Handsome Family found themselves in the top ten of the US Spotify charts and ranking over twenty million hits on Youtube. Since then they have toured the world, performing their unique blend of folk, country and noir to enraptured audiences!

In 2017 they returned with the highly acclaimed The Unseen, an album that is steeped in the western gothic of New Mexico life. A place where the unseen is powerful. Nothing rusts, but entire oceans have disappeared. Just about anywhere you stand there’s been some blood drawn. The Unseen perfectly demonstrates The Handsome Family’s ability to weave rich, macabre narratives with highly crafted musicianship.

Live, Brett (guitar and vocals) and Rennie (banjobass and vocals) are joined by drummer Jason Toth and multi-instrumentalist Alex MacMahon. Their shows are full of humour and chit-chat. The Sparks aren’t afraid to reveal their ordinary humanness, the invisible couple are very happy to be seen.

With Support from Drunken Prayer

Drunken Prayer is Morgan Geer’s longest running project to date. Under this alias he has released 4 LPs, a handful of singles, a live EP, and toured the world. On Drunken Prayer’s last effort, The Devil and The Blues, Geer leads another journey through America’s weird musical heritage. The lyrics are as sweet as they are damning, offering a window into the mind of Morgan Geer. The view that it affords is at once unsettling and familiar. Morgan is also the current guitar player for iconic alt-country goths, Freakwater.
